8th Energy Interconnection Technologies and Application Summit

Date:  11 June 2025

Room: InterContinental Shanghai Hongqiao NECC, Function Room 9

Time:  09:30-12:30

The Energy Law of the People's Republic of China is the fundamental and overarching law in the field of energy in China. It came into effect on January 1, 2025, and has elevated the guarantee mechanism for the consumption of renewable energy electricity to a legal system. It clearly supports the priority development and utilization of renewable energy, encourages the development of new technologies, new formats, and new models such as smart microgrids and comprehensive energy services. The government work report proposes to fully leverage the advantages of the new national system, strengthen the research and development of key core technologies, and cutting-edge and disruptive technologies.

Accordingly, the development of energy Internet will focus on accelerating the construction of a new power system with new energy as the main body, focusing on the intelligent transformation of grid infrastructure, focusing on the development of distributed smart grids, virtual power plants and integrated energy technologies, focusing on electricity carbon factor, and the overall goal is to achieve energy security and dual carbon goals.

In the context of the development of AI, according to the notice issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, National Energy Administration, and National Data Bureau on the "Action Plan for Accelerating the Construction of a New Power System (2024-2027)"; The National Development and Reform Commission and six other departments have issued the Guiding Opinions on Vigorously Implementing the Action of Renewable Energy Substitution (NDRC Energy 2024 No. 1537), implementing policy driven measures to serve the sustainable development of the new energy industry. The theme of this forum is "Energy Internet - Enabling China's Energy Governance Modernization". Organize discussions among professionals from various fields such as politics, industry, academia, research, application, experts, and entrepreneurs to provide a platform for top-level design and technical path exchange and discussion for technological innovation in the new energy industry, and to assist in the transformation of China's energy structure and the achievement of green and low-carbon development goals.
