The solar power has become one of the cheapest energy in the world after all these years; however, technical innovation is still a key issue for reducing the costs. From the viewpoint of long-term development, cost reduction mainly derives from technical breakthroughs in cell efficiency. This Plenary Session gathers the top scientists and industry experts worldwide to present on the international technology roadmap for photovoltaic, and to share their great insights on technical breakthroughs in Solar PV.
